2ND INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS BIENNIAL BURSA 2024

QUO VADIS?/ WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

ELECTIVE AND ACHIEVEMENT AWARD EXHIBITION SPECIFICATIONS

1. Number of Works to be Submitted: A maximum of 2 (two) works can be sent for evaluation.
2. Number of Works to be Exhibited: A maximum of 1 (one) work of the artists will be exhibited in the exhibition
3. Work Dimensions: The longest side of the work should not exceed 60 cm.
4. Theme: The works should be designed on the theme of the exhibition, “Quo Vadis?/Where Are You Going?”. For information on the subject: https://www.bursaseramikbienali.com/en
5. Evaluation of the Works with Digital Images: The digital images of the ceramic works with the requested specifications, maximum 100 words of information about the work and sign up form filled out digitally must be sent to the Turkish Ceramics Society’s e-mail: tsdsanatkanadi@gmail.com by 18  September 2024 at the latest.
6. Evaluation Date of Works: 19 September 2024
7. Evaluation Method of Works: Digital images of the works taken from 3 different angles and sent to the curators will be evaluated digitally by the members of the International Jury. The jury consists of Beril Anilanmert, Fatma Batukan Belge, Guangzhen Zhou, Ilhan Marasali, Mutlu Baskaya, Sayumporn Kasornsuwan, Vilma Villaverde, Xavier Monsalvatje and Zehra Cobanli.
8. Announcement of Works Selected for the Exhibition: 20 September 2024
9. Work Delivery Conditions:
a) Turkish artists can delivery the ceramic works selected for the exhibition on 15 October 2024 to this adress: TofaÅŸ Bursa Anadolu Arabaları Müzesi Umurbey Mahallesi Kapıcı Caddesi N: 9/1 16360 Yıldırım-BURSA. The works of Turkish artists can be taken back again at the same address one day after the exhibition ends or can be returned provided that the artist pays the shipping fee.
Packaging: Works must be delivered well packaged in a wooden box.
b) Selected ceramic works of foreign artists will be accepted until 15 October 2024 at the latest to this address: Aylin Tatlı, TofaÅŸ Bursa Anadolu Arabaları Müzesi Umurbey Mahallesi Kapıcı Caddesi N: 9/1 16360 Yıldırım-BURSA. Tel: +90 224 329 39 41. The ceramic work deemed worthy of exhibition should be returned at the end of the exhibition. If it is requested to be sent, the shipping fee belongs to the artist. Organizers, curators, Turkish Ceramics Society, Durma Sanat or Organizing Committee of 2nd International Ceramics Biennial Bursa are not responsible for any damage that may occur during the transportation of the works. In addition, works coming to Turkey from abroad by cargo should not be detained by Turkish Customs. In addition, to prevent the works coming to Turkey from abroad from being detained by Turkish Customs the value price must be below 9 Euros. Organizers, curators, Turkish Ceramics Society, Durma Sanat or Organizing Committee of 2nd International Ceramics Biennial Bursa are not responsible for works that are detained for any reason by both Turkish Customs and the customs of the country where the artist lives.
Packaging: Works must be delivered well packaged in a wooden box.
c) If requested, foreign artists can donate their works at the end of the exhibition. They can donate their works to the Turkish Ceramics Society (TSD) by signing a contract. A certificate will be given to artists who donate their works to TSD.
d) The exhibition period is 24 October-24 November 2024.
10. Turkish Ceramics Society Membership: Turkish artists who will participate in the exhibition must be TSD members.

11. 11. Achievement Award: A work to be selected among those deemed worthy of exhibition will receive the Turkish Ceramics Federation’s Special Award worth 50.000 TL.
